A Digital MUD Resource

MUD is the Pacific Northwest Conference Annual High School Retreat. This event usually takes place in February at Cascades Camp. Because of concerns over COVID-19 the decision was made to cancel this in person event. Our planning team has worked hard on an alternate resource for your youth ministry.

What is Out of the Ashes?

We designed Out of the Ashes to be a plug and play all inclusive resource for you to hold a one day event with your high school group. We set out to provide high quality elements that will help connect your event with previous MUD’s, Cascades Camp and other youth groups in the PacNWC. Key elements of this resource include:

  • Session Videos featuring messages around our theme by Tim Anderson and Helen Salley
  • Family Moments highlighting our conferences diversity
  • Extensive Leader’s Guide with ideas and instructions for various event types, information on our thinking behind the theme, help for successful sessions and more
  • Media Files giving you everything you need to promote and execute your event
  • Stations Guide to help you set up prayer stations for your event
  • Small Group Guide connecting discussions with the session messages and themes
  • Activity Guides for session games, afternoon activities and evening fun
  • Options for online, in person or hybrid event as well as for a full weekend retreat

Theme: Out of the Ashes

2020 has been a devastating year. We have faced pandemic, quarantine, social unrest, racial injustice, depression, and killer hornets. It has caused destruction to our personal well being, family structures, communities, economy and country. MUD 2021 will explore the new life that the Holy Spirit is birthing out of all this pain.

Isaiah 43:19 “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
