Sharing the Harvest 2023

Make a Difference in the Lives of Kenyans
For the last several years Pacific Northwest Conference Churches have joined to take a bite out of hunger by purchasing apples through Sharing the Harvest (STH). STH sells Yakima-area apples (3 Varieties at $10/10 lb.) to participating PacNWC churches and all those resources go to Jitokeze Wamama Wafrika, an organization in West Pokot, Kenya that is empowering women in agriculture and community development. Sales of apples will benefit individuals assisted by Jitokeze Wamama Wafrika. Jitokeze seeks to empower marginalized and vulnerable girls and women in West Pokot Kenya to overcome poverty and improve their resilience to the impacts of climate change as well as contribute to building sustainable communities where they dwell.

Maybe you thought about it in the past, but this can be the year your participation can empower your church, provide some tasty Yakima apples, and make a powerful impact. We will not have our full Packing Day Celebration, but we’ll have the same great apples.
