The Catch of the Week is a bite-sized update focusing on telling the story of our conference. We do this primarily through interviews with church members, staff, and event leaders. This year we celebrated baptisms, reflected on events, tackled challenges, welcomed new staff, supported outreach projects, checked in on our church plants, and got to know our conference staff. 38 blog posts were added to our website and featured in our Friday newsletter. Visit our blog at the link below to catch up, or click on any of the previous issues links.

By Greg Yee, Superintendent, PacNWC Spring and end-of-school-year greetings! As Mary and I have been slowly cleaning our yard in our Renton glacial-till and construction debris-buried land, Jesus’ lakeside teaching about four soils prominently comes to mind. For many of us, through our Western lenses we read the Bible more individualistically. Certainly, this is appropriate,…

For example, poop is not something we are…

By Sarah Hammersborg, Chair, PacNWC Ministerial Association One of the great joys at the conference annual meeting is the presentation of candidates that will be going on to the annual meeting in June to be ordained. The ordination process is not a quick process. They write a paper and then meet before a committee at…

By Peter Sung, Conference Coach, PacNWC Easter reports from around the church planting world have been coming in. To no one’s surprise, every single report indicates higher than normal attendance. In fact, it was not uncommon for smaller churches to see more than a doubling of their usual numbers. If you don’t care for numbers,…
