Grab your meal and join us for a lunchtime workshop called ‘Lunch & Learn: Immigration with guest Liz Nelson, Outreach Manager from World Relief Seattle, who will share the impact of immigration in our communities, how churches can respond, and be good neighbors.

This is the first of several Lunch and Learns we have planned for the future as part of our ongoing emphasis on racial equality and justice. Our annual Journey to Mosaic event will not be happening in 2021.

About Liz Nelson:

After completing an internship with World Relief Seattle in 2010, Liz coordinated the refugee and asylum seeker program with World Relief Indonesia and then began building her career as a health educator and community programs coordinator. Liz happily returned to World Relief Seattle in 2018 as Volunteer Coordinator. Liz is passionate about fostering an environment of cultural humility, where World Relief staff, partners, and volunteers feel more comfortable asking questions than holding assumptions. Liz holds a B.A. from the University of Washington in International Studies and Global Health. She oversees the Outreach Team, including the Detention Center Ministries, Good Neighbor Teams, community partnerships, volunteer programs, and post-detention services.
