Crescendo
March 25, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Statistics tell us that the church is aging along with the general population, and we need to have a strategy in place to equip this generation for purposeful living that goes beyond the traditional ideas of retirement.
Please join us for our upcoming regional CRESCENDO* seminar:
Saturday, March 25, 2017
9:00-11:30am
At Newport Covenant Church
This half day seminar will raise awareness of the issues surrounding aging and provide a framework for a holistic ministry to help your older adults and Boomers unleash their potential and envision what it means to live with purpose, vitality, and mission in the later stages of life. Practical ideas will be shared to stimulate your thinking.
Who should attend?
Pastors, staff, lay leadership team, older adult ministry leaders, and those interested (of any age) and committed to ministries by, with, and for older adults and Boomers.
What is CRESCENDO?
It is a pilot project of Make and Deepen Disciples of the ECC in cooperation with other Covenant entities (i.e. Covenant Retirement Communities). It is designed to resource local churches in exploring challenges, opportunities, and practical ideas for ministries by, with and for an existing 65+ population and Boomers preparing for their next phase of life. The CRESCENDO team is led by Debbie Blue, Alan Forsman, and Evelyn Johnson.
Presenters:
Dr. Alan Forsman Author, coach and consultant
Dr. Dr. Stanley Long Founding pastor and Pastor Emeritus of South Bay Community Church, Fremont, CA; currently consultant to Urban Ministries, Inc. and a certified trainer, coach, and consultant with the John Maxwell team. Dr. Long is the CRESCENDO follow-up coach for the Pacific Northwest Conference.
Hope to see you and your team there!
