A Quiet Place Retreat

The PacNWC Ministerial Association welcomes Covenant pastors and ministry leaders for a serene and rejuvenating in person retreat at Mount Angel Abbey. You are invited to get some rest and deepen lives in Christ, by the practice of contemplative spiritual practices, including Lectio Divina, praying the Psalms, liturgy of the hours, and living by a Rule of Life.
THEME:
Because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, Jesus said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” ~Mark 6:31
PURPOSE:
Welcome Covenant pastors and ministry leaders to a quiet place to get some rest and deepen lives in Christ, by the practice of contemplative spiritual practices, including Lectio Divina, praying the Psalms, liturgy of the hours, and living by a Rule of Life.
WHO:
- 18 Maximum Participants
- PacNWC Clergy and spouses may register through January 15th.
- Church staff and spouses may register after February 15th if space is available.
WHAT:
3-days (2-nights) contemplative retreat to grow in Christ.
- First Lenten Contemplative Retreat sponsored by the PacNWC.
- Explore with Benedictine brothers in Christ contemplative ways to grow deeper in Christ, including Lectio Divina; Praying the Psalms; Liturgy of the Hours; and Living by a Rule of Life.
- Time for silence, prayer, solitude, and worship times daily with Benedictine monks.
WHERE:
Mount Angel Abbey, Oregon; about 40 miles south of Portland, Oregon
LODGING/FOOD: at the newly finished Guesthouse of Mount Angel Abbey with beautiful rooms, catered meals, elegant Guesthouse and Retreat Center facilities situated on the south slope of Mount Angel Abbey Hilltop.
RETREAT FACILITATORS: David Robinson, Lead Pastor of Cannon Beach Community Church (an ECC congregation); Brother Cyril Drnjevic of Mount Angel Abbey.
