Thunder Squad Assemble!

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No – it’s the Middle School Thunder Retreat! Grab your superhero cape and mask, and join hundreds of other heroes-in-training out at Cascades Camp & Conference Center this October for the weekend of a lifetime! You’ll have the chance to practice your super skills in an epic big game, go hard in activities like Ultimate Frisbee, zip lining, trail rides, and crafts, and be challenged in your faith as you learn what it means to be part of something greater alongside other heroes-in-training.

Join other youth groups from our the conference for an incredible weekend of fun, adventure, connection, worship, teaching and more.

Registration:

Youth leaders, please read the instructions below all the way through so that you can instruct your group accordingly. As Thunder continues to grow, we anticipate reaching our capacity of 500 registered students and leaders this year, so please note that Thunder registration is only open to churches in the Pacific Northwest Conference.

► PART 1 – HAVE INDIVIDUALS REGISTER & PAY ONLINE

GENERAL REGISTRATION INFO

• Distribute promotional Thunder flyers to students and leaders in your youth group. The flyer will direct individuals to register and pay on the Cascades website.

• Students must have a parent/guardian register them. If this is not an option, please contact us for further instructions.
• The Early Registration Rate ($100/person) is available through the end of the day on October 5th. If individuals register after October 5th, they will be charged the Regular Registration Rate ($120/person).
• Space fills on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 500 participants. As soon as the retreat is full, individuals will be directed to register for the waitlist.
• Registration closes on Tuesday, October 16th.

► PART 2 – TRACK YOUR GROUP

• Our recommended student-to-leader ratio is one leader for every five to eight students – we’ve found this to be the most successful number when it comes to group dynamics and ensuring that the most students are able to attend. Please contact us if you have any concerns regarding this ratio.
• Arrival is from 6-8pm on Friday and departure is at 10:30am on Sunday.
• An email will be sent out the week of the event, with more specifics regarding color teams for games, housing assignments, etc.
