• The Person - More than all other factors, the right leadership matters most. Let’s discern together.

• The Place - Do you understand the culture and society that you’re hoping to gather, influence, and love?

• The People - Sustainability and stability are crucial to keep the movement moving. The support system often turns out to be the difference-maker over the long haul.

A sample sequencing might look something like this:

• Year 0

  • A first connection and conversation
  • A second check-in conversation
  • A third meet up with your group
  • Pre-contract period with benchmarks

• Years 1-3

  • Contract period including any funding and public launch
  • Credentialing with ECC

• Years 4-5

  • Church membership with ECC
  • Church revitalization

Our denomination exists as a trinity between the larger denomination, the regional conference, and the local church. Church planting, likewise, is a three-way partnership of vision, funding, and ongoing support from each entity, and with each entity playing their part, new churches and their planters can best be set up to bear fruit and flourish for many seasons to come.
