Come to a Quiet Place: Contemplative Retreat with Benedictines

THEME:

Come with me to a quiet place and get some rest. –Mark 6:31

PURPOSE:

Welcome Covenant pastors and ministry leaders to a quiet place to get some rest and deepen lives in Christ, by the practice of contemplative spiritual practices, including Lectio Divina, praying the Psalms, liturgy of the hours, and living by a Rule of Life.

WHO:

25 ECC Ministers and Ministry Leaders in the PacNWC; sponsored by PacNWC Ministerium.

WHAT:

3-days (2-nights) contemplative retreat to grow in Christ.

• First Lenten Contemplative Retreat sponsored by the PacNWC.
• Explore with Benedictine brothers in Christ contemplative ways to grow deeper in Christ, including Lectio Divina; Praying the Psalms; Liturgy of the Hours; Living by a Rule of Life.
• Time for silence, prayer, solitude, and worship times daily with Benedictine monks.

WHERE:

Mount Angel Abbey, Oregon; about 40 miles south of Portland, Oregon

LODGING/FOOD: at the newly finished Guesthouse of Mount Angel Abbey with beautiful rooms, catered meals, elegant Guesthouse and Retreat Center facilities situated on the south slope of Mount Angel Abbey Hilltop.
