Transportation

UNITE West takes place at Biola University. Groups are encouraged to work together or as individuals to make transportation arrangements. There are three options for getting your group to UNITE West:

Fly There:

Flying to UNITE West will be the most convenient option, while also being the most expensive. Some recommendations:

  • Make a group reservation now.
  • Group reservations are typically more expensive that what is currently available online. However, they allow you to block out a number of seats without having to have names or exact numbers now.
  • Airlines usually require a deposit three months from travel and final payment along with names and final numbers a few weeks before travel.

Drive There:

Driving to UNITE West is a good compromise between convenience and expense. Some recommendations:

  • Plan on 20 hours of driving over two full days of travel with an overnight stop in the Sacramento area. There are many Covenant churches in central California that would be glad to host you.
  • Having transportation available will make staying an extra night to visit some SoCal sites easier.
  • Consider caravanning with another church. It is fun to travel together.

Ride There:

Traveling by train is possibly the cheapest option and can be relaxing, but it also takes the longest.

  • Plan on 35-40 hours of travel.
  • There is an Amtrak station 5 miles from Biola’s campus.
  • You will need to arrange for transportation from the train station to Biola.

How do I get from the airport/train station to Biola?

At the moment there are three options: Rent vehicles, use Uber/Lyft, or partner with a local church to arrange rides.

Scholarships

Individual Scholarships

  • Individual grants for 25% or 50% are available to participants based on need.
  • Participants must submit an application to the PacNWC Scholarship fund.
  • Applications will be considered based on need and accepted participants will receive a discount code to be applied to their registration.
