PacNWC Youth Worker Connection

This one day retreat is for all PacNWC lead youth workers.  Our hope is that you will come away from this event known, connected and resourced.

Theme: Sharpening Your Communication Skills

Speaking to youth has become more challenging than ever.  It is critical that we develop and refine our speaking skills to be sure the message of the gospel is being heard.

This seminar will give you the tools you need to grow in your speaking ability, develop series for youth groups, train volunteers to share, and help as you accept more responsibility preaching and teaching for your church. Whether you are new to ministry, or a grizzled veteran, you will benefit greatly from our time together.

Special Guest:  Keith Ferrin

Keith got his start speaking at events when he was a youth pastor, but quickly found himself speaking for audiences of all ages and sizes. Conferences, retreats, university chapels, military bases, fundraising banquets. You name it… he’s probably spoken at it.  He is passionate about helping other fall in love with God’s word, “My desire as a speaker is always to help people fall in love with God’s Word. I don’t want them to just understand it more, know it better, or “get something” out of it. All of these are good – and certainly happen. But I want people to grow in their LOVE for God and His Word. Just because the Bible is true doesn’t mean that it’s boring. I always do my best to weave as much humor into my speaking as possible. I think the Bible is really fun. I want my audiences to feel the same way.”
